Permanent hair color (like Matrix SoColor Pre-Bonded) penetrates the hair shaft for long-lasting results and 100% grey coverage. Demi-permanent color (like Matrix SoColor Sync) is gentler, ammonia-free, and deposits tone on tone without lifting the natural base, making it ideal for blending greys, refreshing lengths, or adding vibrant shine.
Matrix Cream Developer:
- 10 Vol (3%): For deposit or maximum 1 level of lift.
- 20 Vol (6%): Standard for 100% grey coverage and up to 2 levels of lift.
- 30 Vol (9%): For up to 3 levels of lift.
- 40 Vol (12%): For up to 4 levels of lift (typically with High-Lift series).
Note: For SoColor Sync (Demi-permanent), always use the dedicated Matrix 10 Vol (3%) Developer to ensure optimal color deposit and condition.
